Thierry Aucoc is Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Europe and the Russian Federation, as well as Latin America regions. He was appointed to the role in September 2013.

He joined Emirates as Country Manager for France, based in Paris, in August 2011 and served in that position until September 2013. During his time in France, he was responsible for managing the commercial and operational aspects of Emirates’ business, overseeing the sales and service functions for the airline’s passenger, cargo and airport operations.

Thierry has over 30 years airline industry experience, having held a number of senior roles in various airlines. He began his career with Air France in 1990 where he served as Commercial and Marketing Director for Central Europe. In 1998, he was appointed General Manager for France and the Benelux region at Alitalia. He then joined KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as General Manager for the Southern Africa region, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In March 2002, he rejoined Alitalia as a Vice President, and led the airline’s commercial development across various regions, including Latin and North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, until 2011.

Thierry holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Tax Law Specialization from Panthéon-Assas University in Paris. He is married with three children.
