Graduated with honors in sociology, Laura Cavatorta possesses over twenty years of managerial experience in the aviation sector, holding positions of operational responsibility in business units up to 5,000 employees, leading the airline Air One SpA and covering other roles in the Leadership Team. During this time, she acquired specific expertise on the restructuring, merger, acquisition and commissioning phases, developing a particular sensitivity on the Human Capital Management and on the several dimensions involved in every corporate turnaround.

Today she deals with corporate governance as an independent board director of listed companies, for which she is chairwoman of the respective Sustainability / ESG Committees.

Laura deepens with particular attention the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) issues, the different declinations through which to substantiate a business approach aimed at sustainable development over time, as well as regulatory and policy developments at national, EU and international level. In the same vein, she follows the B Corp movement and its sustainable business paradigm, capable of developing profits together with a positive impact on both the society and the environment.

She is also a genuine promoter of gender equality, along with the development of female talents and careers based on merit, believing in the need for a full integration of women in all areas of society and their deserved presence also in top positions, for full economic development and affirmation of an equal society.

As a matter of fact, Laura is member of the boards of several no profit networks for sustainability (ESG European Institute) and for women’s empowerment (Fuori Quota) and seats in the ASviS WG for the Gender Equality goal #5 of the UN 2030 Agenda.
