Giuseppe Giordo, born in Treviso, Italy, in 1965, earned a degree in Law and served for three years in the Italian Air Force. He joined the Finmeccanica group in 1990 and, starting from a clerical level for a young graduate, he held multiple positions that led him to assume wider responsibilities, both in the management of international programs and in the development of international business. Giordo also has a deep knowledge of international markets and has managed collaborations and signed contracts in all the geographical areas of the world.

Today Giordo is General Manager – Naval Vessels of Fincantieri S.p.A, CEO of Orizzonte Sistemi Navali S.p.A. (JV between Fincantieri and Leonardo), Chairman of Board of NAVIRIS (JV between Fincantieri e Naval Group), Member of Board of Fincantieri Marine Group LLC and Advisor and Chairman of the Surveillance Council of SIIT.

From January 2018 till May 2021 Giordo has also been Board Member and Executive Committee Member of SAMI (the Aerospace and Defense Saudi Aerospace and Military Industry).
From May 2016 to March 2019, Giuseppe Giordo has been President and CEO of Aero Vodochody Aerospace Group. During the same period, Giordo has also been President of the Confederation of the Aeronautical Industries in the Czech Republic.

Since the end of 2010, when he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Alenia Aeronautica and Responsible for the Finmeccanica Aeronautics Sector, he has been leading a process of deep renewal and reorganization, with the goal of improving the company’s industrial and commercial competitiveness.

In 2009, Giordo was also appointed Co-Chief Operating Officer of Alenia Aeronautica, as responsible for the company’s Military Airlift Division.

In 2004, Giordo was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Alenia North America, with the responsibilities of the company’s industrial business in both the U.S. and Canadian markets.
